Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel in separate drives seized 0.90 million Yaba tablets from different areas in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Saturday.
A team of BGB conducted a drive in Ariakhal area around 4:20 am on information, Shariful Islam Jamaddar, additional director of BGB-2, said.
They chased a gang of Yaba traders while they were crossing the canal along with eight sacks.
At one stage, they fled away leaving the sacks.
A total 0.8 million Yaba tablets worth Tk 240 million were recovered from the sacks.
Besides, another team of BGB recovered one 0.10 million Yaba tablets worth Tk 30 million from Hariakhali Laban Math area.
