Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) entertained India's Border Security Force (BSF) members with sweetmeats on Saturday on the occasion of Pahela Baishakh.
Members of BGB Battalion-18 distributed sweetmeats among the BSF members of one frontier, two sectors, four battalions and 33 camps along different borders of Panchagarh marking the first day of Bangla New Year 1425.
Commanding officer of the BGB battalion Lt Col Al Hakim M Nawshad said they distribute sweetmeats on different occasions to strengthen the relations between the border forces of the two countries.
"Sweetmeats were distributed on the Pahela Baishakh as part of it," he said, reports UNB.
