Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel nabbed 13 people while illegally entering Bangladesh from India along Borochhara border in Jessore on Thursday noon.
The arrestees were identified as Zafar Sheikh, 40, Taslima Begum, 28, Tasamul Sheikh, 9, Munni Begum, 27, Lovely, 5, Islam Sheikh, 2, Ibrahim Sheikh, 11, Manik Sheikh, 9, Ratan Dutt, 18, Maria Begum, 25, Atiar Sheikh, 30, Baby Begum, 25, and Lamia, 6, reports UNB.
On information, BGB members conducted a drive in the Customs check-post area and detained them, including six children and four women.
The arrestees claimed to have hailed from Khulna, Gopalganj and Narail districts, said Naib Subedar Abdul Wahab of 49 Benapole BGB camp Commander.
They were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station.
