Bangladesh is now in unprecedented crisis over providing humanitarian assistance to tens of thousands of Rohingyas and repatriating them to their own country.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made the remarks during the PM's question answer session in Parliament on Wednesday.

"The present situation is very much worse comparing to any other time of the past," she said.

According to UNB, the Prime Minister said that the Rohingya crisis in Rakhaine state in Myanmar has turned complex in the recent days due to the military crackdown and violence.

Meanwhile, A BSS report says, Sheikh Hasina said the international community is working together for repatriation of the Myanmar nationals to their country.

"The whole world community stood beside Bangladesh for the generosity that we have shown to the displaced people, welcoming our steps taken for their shelter," she said.

She said influx of Rohingyas caused huge damage to nature of the area and livelihood of the local people.

"The government will provide food support as well as new occupational opportunities to the local people suffering for Rohingya influx, the Prime Minister said.
