Banglalink brings Sylhet under 4G

Banglalink, one of the leading mobile phone operators in Bangladesh, on Thursday officially launched 4G in Sylhet.

Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Ariful Haque Choudhury inaugurated the service at a press conference in a city hotel as the chief guest.

The press conference was followed by a celebratory rally that started from Mendibagh point and ended at Mirboxtula.

The super-fast mobile internet provided by 4G network will enable the users of this region to enjoy zero-buffer HD video streaming, HD quality video calling, high-fidelity music streaming, online gaming, social networking and all sorts of other internet services. From the socio-economic perspective, 4G will play a vital role in improving healthcare services, facilitating remote education, easing transportation and making financial services more accessible.

Among others, M Nurul Alam, Chief Compliance Officer of Banglalink, Soumen Mitra, Regional Director, B2C Sales & Distribution, Banglalink, Syed Mostofa Ahmed, Acting Regional Head, B2C Sales and Distribution, Sylhet and regional employees, distributors and related concerns of the organisation were also present in the programme.

Banglalink has also acquired additional 5 MHz spectrum in 2100 MHz Band and 5.6 MHz spectrum in 1800 MHz Band that will result in seamless digital connectivity and better coverage nationwide, reports UNB.
