The Bangladesh government is set to start rolling out the vaccines against Covid-19 next week.

Five hospitals in Dhaka will begin the inoculation process on January 27 while the nationwide vaccination programme will kick off on February 8, according to Health Secretary Abdul Mannan.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Kurmitola General Hospital, Mugda General Hospital, Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University will initially administer the vaccine shots in the capital, reports bdnews24.com.

"Around 400-500 people will get the vaccine shots first. They will be kept under observation for a week before countrywide vaccination campaign begins on Feb 8,” said Mannan.
