Bangladesh reports 19 more deaths, 1,733 infections

Bangladesh has reported 19 more coronavirus (Covid-19) deaths and 1,699 fresh infections recorded in the 24 hours to 8 am.

With these, the total deaths and cases now stand at 6,127 and 425,353 respectively, said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in a press release on Wednesday.

A total of 1,715 Covid-19 patients also recovered during the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 343,131, it said.

According to the DGHS release, a total of 14,524 samples were tested at the country’s 115 authorised labs during the same period, bringing the total number of samples tested to over 2.4 million so far.
