Bangladesh has reported 16 more coronavirus (Covid-19) deaths and 1,699 fresh infections in the last 24 hours.
With these, the total deaths and cases now stand at 6,108 and 423,620 respectively, said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in a press release on Tuesday.
A total of 1,648 Covid-19 patients also recovered during the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 341,416, it said.
According to the DGHS release, a total of 13,520 samples were tested at the country’s 115 authorised labs during the same period, bringing the total number of samples tested to over 2.4 million so far.
