Bangladesh loses 10 lives in Saudi crash

Ten Bangladeshi workers were killed in a fatal road accident in Western Jizan province of Saudi Arabia.

The accident took place around 7:00pm on Saturday when a vehicle hit a truck carrying 20 Bangladeshi workers to their workplace, leaving eight workers dead on the spot and two critically injured, according to UNB citing a press release of Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh.

The injured Bangladeshis succumbed to their injuries at hospital.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.

Officials of the consulate general office visited the spot.

However, a Saudi newspaper reported that 15 other people were also injured in the same accident.
