Bangladesh has reported hospitalisation of a total of 153 dengue patients in 24 hours to Tuesday morning, which is the highest single-day count in 2022 so far.
Among the new patients, 46 new cases were reported from outside the Dhaka division, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 430 patients are receiving treatments at 47 public and private hospitals in the capital till Tuesday morning while the remaining 86 are being treated outside Dhaka.
Some 4,772 patients have been admitted to different hospitals in the country with dengue from January 1, 2022, to August 23, 2022, the report said.
As many as 4,237 such patients were released from the hospitals across the country from January 1, 2022, to August 23, 2022, it added.
A total of 19 dengue patients died from January 1, 2022, to August 23, 2022, DGHS data added.
