The Bangladesh government has decided to appoint new Ambassadors to Thailand and Algeria.
Mr Mohammed Abdul Hye, currently serving as the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Algeria, has been appointed as the new ambassador to Thailand, said a press release of the ministry of foreign affairs on Friday.
Mr Abdul Hye is a career foreign service officer belonging to the 1986 batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre.
In his diplomatic career, Mr Hye served in Bangladesh missions in Manama, Moscow, Bangkok and Dubai.
Prior to his present assignment, he served as High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Brunei. At the headquarters, he worked in various capacities including as Director General (Administration).
Mr Mohammed Abdul Hye obtained his BSc in Civil Engineering from BUET.
Meanwhile, the government has named Muhammad Zulqar Nain as the replacement for Mohammed Abdul Hye.
Currently serving as the Deputy High Commissioner at Bangladesh High Commission in London, Mr Zulqar Nain is a career foreign service officer belonging to the 17th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre.
In his distinguished diplomatic career, Mr Zulqar Nain served in various capacities in Bangladesh Missions in Washington DC, Seoul and Birmingham. At the headquarters, he worked in various capacities in different Wings.
Mr Muhammad Zulqar Nain obtained his Masters in Diplomacy and Trade from Monash University.
