BD Ambassador Ziauddin attends Iftar at White House

Bangladesh Ambassador to the USA Mohammad Ziauddin has attended an Iftar and dinner at the White House.

US President Donald Trump hosted the event on Wednesday in observance of the holy month of Ramadan, said a media release.

Trump wished Muslims around the world a “Ramadan Mubarak” and he also sought cooperation from them to achieve a future of security and prosperity for all, according to global media reports.

“Only by working together can we achieve a future of security and prosperity for all,” he told the gathering of diplomats and officials at the Iftar dinner, reports PTI.

The Bangladesh embassy released a photo of envoys from several Muslim countries sitting at the head table with Trump at the White House.

Envoys from many Muslim countries including Bangladesh, UAE, Egypt, Tunisia, Qatar, Bahrain, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Kuwait, Gambia, Ethiopia, Iraq, and Bosnia were invited.
