Bangladesh High Commission in Brunei celebrated the 101st birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and the country’s National Children's Day on Wednesday.
The celebration started with the ceremonial raising of National Flag at the High Commission, followed by reading out of speeches from the president, prime minister, foreign minister and State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh.
A documentary on the life of Bangabandhu was screened, officials said.
After this, the High Commission went to celebrate the day with kids with autism.
The children tie-dyed T-shirts with Mujib100 Logo, sang and danced and cut a cake.
Ambassador of Russia was the chief guest, Ambassador of Iran was the special guest and the Dean of the Diplomatic Corp was the Guest of Honour in the event.
