The fourth edition of BASIS National ICT Awards 2020 has kicked off aimed at providing recognition to individuals, students, entrepreneurs, SMEs and organisations for their outstanding achievements.
To this effect, the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) is inviting applications from individuals, students, entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and IT companies that are developing innovative IT products and services for the awards. The application process will continue till January 31, 2021.
Total 105 awards will be given to the winners in 35 categories with certification in BASIS National ICT Awards 2020.
The announcement came at a virtual press conference arranged by the BASIS on Monday.
BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir, Managing Director and CEO of IPDC Finance Ltd Mominul Islam and BASIS Senior Vice President Farhana A Rahman were present at the press conference.
Rashed Kamal, co-convener, BASIS National ICT Awards 2020, moderated the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the BASIS president said through the BASIS National ICT Awards, innovative and prospective IT projects are nominated and recognised.
Different categories of projects highlight the vast potential of the country’s IT sector. The nominated projects are selected for competition in the international arena, which also highlights the potential of the IT sector, he added.
Winners of the BASIS National ICT Awards will represent Bangladesh at the annual international Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA Awards).
This annual Awards programme also provides an opportunity and an ideal environment for individuals and companies to gain local, regional and international exposure through the ongoing promotional activities and participation at the international Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA Awards).
