The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court is set to get new judges as the President has appointed three more judges to the division after a long period.

Justice Zinat Ara, Justice Abu Bakar Siddiquee and Justice Md Nuruzzaman were appointed to the Appellate Division on Monday, said High Court Division Special Officer Saifur Rahman.

The three judges will be sworn in by the chief justice at the Supreme Court Judge’s Lounge at 10:30am on Tuesday morning, reports bdnews24.com.

Supreme Court Registrar General Md Zakir Hossain will conduct the ceremony.

The addition of the three judges to the Appellate Division raises the number of judges on Bangladesh’s highest bench to seven.
