Another woman has died in Dhaka amid the massive outbreak of mosquito-borne dengue across Bangladesh.
Hafsa Lipi, 34, passed away on Monday night while undergoing treatment at Anwer Khan Modern Hospital in the capital.
Jasimuddin Khan, director of Anwer Khan Modern Hospital, has confirmed her death, reports bdnews24.com.
Three people, including a woman, died while undergoing treatment at different hospitals in Dhaka on Monday. In addition, a woman died in Khulna.
Nakush Das, 45, and Hasan, 13, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Pregnant Sharmin Ara Shapla, 32, passed away at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital. Khadija Begum, 40, died at Khulna City Medical College Hospital.
So far, the health department has confirmed the deaths of 18 people from dengue. However, media reports say the death toll is several times higher.
