The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Bangladesh's Country Manager Md Ahsanul Hoque Bashar has been awarded the Global Business CSR Award 2021 for the outstanding contribution of ACCA Bangladesh to the accounting and finance sector during Covid-19, according to a press release.
The award-giving ceremony took place on Saturday (March 13) at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden hotel.
Md. Ahsanul Hoque Bashar said, “During this pandemic, ACCA Bangladesh continues to arrange different online workshops, seminars, CPDs and skill development programmes free of cost for its students and members to produce skilled workforces in the accounting and finance sector along with contributing to the economic growth of Bangladesh government. I want to dedicate this award to the students, affiliates and members of ACCA Bangladesh. Also, I would like to thank the concerned people behind this award giving ceremony.’’
The chief guest of the ceremony was Md Tazul Islam, minister, Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives.
The special guests were Dr Md Enamur Rahman, MP, state minister, Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, Dr Md Murad Hasan, MP; state minister, Ministry of Information, Dr. Shahjahan Mahmood, chairman, Bangladesh Communication Satellite Company Limited and Raju Alim, vice-president, Bangladesh American Chamber of Commerce, USA.
