The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will interrogate Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police Mizanur Rahman on May 3 for allegedly acquiring illegal wealth.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of ACC Kanak Kumar Bhattacharya said that they issued a summon to the office of DIG in this regard on Wednesday.
Farid Ahmed, deputy director of ACC, is investigating the allegation, he said.
Earlier in January, Mizanur Rahman was withdrawn from the DMP headquarters and attached to the Police headquarters following allegation of marrying a woman forcefully and torturing her.
Mizan allegedly picked up Morium Akter and forcefully married her, reports UNB.
Later following a family feud Mizanur instigated arrest of Morium in a false case.
