The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday filed a case against a railway official for amassing wealth illegally.
Mohammad Sharif Uddin, deputy assistant director of ACC, filed the case against assistant inspector of railway east zone Waliullah Sumon for amassing wealth of Tk 14.0 million with Kotwali Police station in Chattogram.
Mohammad Mahsin, officer-in-charge of the police station, confirmed the media about filing the case, reports UNB.
He was also accused of taking Tk 340,000 as bribe in the name of giving job at railways.
On July 4, the railway authorities suspended Waliullah on charge of beating a railway official mercilessly.
