Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, director general of Rapid Action Battalion, has been appointed inspector general of police, reports bdnews24.com.
M Khurshid Hossain, an additional IGP, will succeed Al-Mamun as the RAB chief, the government announced on Thursday.
Earlier, the government issued a notice confirming Benazir Ahmed’s retirement as police chief.
