A total of 96,878 motorised vehicles were registered across the country in January and February this year, as per official data.
Of the total, 29,678 motorised vehicles were registered in Dhaka, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) statistics.
Of them, the mode of vehicles that had the highest number of registration was motorcycles while cargo vans were the lowest number of registered vehicles.
84,583 motorcycles were registered in January and February across the country while no cargo van was registered during the period, the BRTA data showed.
A total of 445,030 such vehicles were registered in 2021 while the number was 377,660 in 2020.
