GOPALGANJ, Feb 28: The construction of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University is nearing completion as 90 per cent of the work has already been done.
According to the Education Engineering Department (EED), Gopalganj, in December, 2015 the department took up the responsibility for implementation of the project at Ghonapara in Gopalganj.
A total of eight construction companies were given the responsibility for the project work. The total cost was fixed at Tk 704.9 million.
Academic building-3, post-graduate dormitory building, officers' quarter, senior teachers' residence, staff quarter for lower staffs, 400-seat hostel for female students, 400-seat hostel for male students and pond excavation are included the work.
Mohammad Jahangir Alam, executive engineer of the department the project will fully be completed within June 30.
