Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has recorded 8.7 degrees Celsius temperature in Tetulia upazila of Panchagarh.
The BMD on Friday predicted dry weather with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours as of 9:00 am tomorrow.
"Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country during 24 hours till 9:00 am tomorrow," said a BMD bulletin.
However, moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during midnight till tomorrow morning, reports BSS citing the bulletin.
The mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Naogaon, Panchagarh, Jashore and Chuadanga.
Night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 29.0 degrees Celsius at Cox’s Bazar of Chattogram division, while the minimum temperature today was 8.7 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
The sun sets at 5:22 pm today and rises at 6:40 am tomorrow in the capital.
