Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, on Sunday, said that 80 per cent work on ninth wage board for journalists have been completed.
He said this while inaugurating a week-long digital photography exhibition on Bangabandhu at the premises of the Clinic Bhavan in the Secretariat.
The exhibition was organised by the Press Information Department (PID).
He also recalled the role of journalists in the Liberation War at the exhibition, says a report on state-owned BSS.
Inu said his ministry is in favour of the new wage board.
“But the owners, even after repeated requests had not sent in their nominations. We hope they will soon," he added.
