68.3pc young voters satisfied with PM's initiatives: Study

About 68.3 per cent of the country's total young educated voters have expressed their satisfaction over the initiatives taken by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, according to a new survey on youngsters’ political views.

The findings of the survey of CallReady was disseminated by researcher Dr Abul Hasnat Miltan at a press conference at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), reports BSS on Saturday.

“About 68.3 per cent of the young voters said they are satisfied with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s leadership,” Miltan said citing the report.

He said about 30.2 per cent of the young voters, however, wanted changes in the government while others quizzed in the survey said they were yet to take any decision over the voting.

Miltan said the group carried out the survey among students aged between 18 and 24 in 10 educational institutions including Dhaka University in the capital and 21 educational institutions in 12 districts across the country.

He said a total of 21 focus group discussions were also held at the educational institutions from October 22 to 30 this year to prepare the report.
