AKM Tariful Islam Khan, media manager, icddr,b told the FE that at least 665 diarrhoea patients got admitted at icddr,b on Friday till 3:00 pm.
There is huge pressure on the hospital for diarrhoea patients, he said, adding that physicians, nurses and health staff are struggling to cope with the stress of patients.
As many as 730 diarrhoea patients were hospitalised at icddr,b, an international health research institute in Dhaka, in 14 hours till 2pm on Thursday.
As many as 1,233 such patients were hospitalised at the hospital on Wednesday in 24 hours, he added.
