Child killings during the period from January to November 2020 increased drastically across the country, according to a local independent rights body.
A total of 535 children were killed in the first eleven months of the current calendar year whereas some 443 children were killed in the same period of the last year, according to the report of the Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK).
At least 30 children were killed after being raped in the period while the number was 41 in the same period of the last year, the rights organisation data said.
The report added that as many as 249 cases were lodged in connection with those incidents in January to November 2020 while the number was 208 in January to November 2019.
A total of 488 children were killed in 2019 whereas 364 were killed in 2018, the rights body report said.
