The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has published results for the 39th (special) Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), recommending recruitment of 4,792 doctors.
The PSC said in a statement on Tuesday it recommended 4,542 successful candidates for the post of assistant surgeon and 250 for the post of assistant dental surgeon, report bdnews24.com and UNB.
Details of the results are available at PSC website: www.bpsc.gov.bd. The results can be known through text messages by typing PSC<space>39<space>registration number and sending to 16222.
A total of 13,219 candidates for the post of assistant surgeon and 531 for the post of assistant dental surgeon were cleared for the viva-voce that started from October 10 last.
The PSC published a notice on April 8, 2017 seeking applications from doctors for the vacant posts.
According to the revised regulation, there were 200 marks in MCQs and 100 marks in the viva voce.
