A total of 372 homeless families have got new houses in Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga district.
“The houses were built in seven unions and one pourasabha of the upazila through the Prime Minister’s Office for providing accommodation to 372 homeless families,” said Jibannagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Salim Reza.
“Each house with concrete floor and sanitary latrine was built at a cost of Tk 100,000”.
Reza said the list of homeless families for accommodation has been prepared by local public representatives, reports BSS.
Abdul Hi, a day labourer, expressed his satisfaction and gratitude to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina after getting the house saying “It is impossible for me to build a house after expending my family expenses”.
