29 Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia

At least 29 Bangladeshi pilgrims, who went to Saudi Arabia for performing hajj this year, have so far died of various reasons till Friday.

According to a bulletin of the Bangladesh Haj Management Portal under the Religious Affairs Ministry, 24 hajj pilgrims died in Mecca while four in Medina and one in Jeddah, reports UNB.

Among the deceased, 26 were males and three were females.

The latest recorded death was of Mojibur Rahman Khan, 63, hailing from Barishal district. He died in Mecca on Friday.

The bulletin said a total of 112,606 Bangladeshi pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia till Friday to perform hajj.

Among them, 105,690 went there under private management while 6,916 under government arrangement.
