A total of 26 judges and 71 staff of lower courts and 26 employees of the Supreme Court were infected with Covid-19 until Tuesday (June 23).
They were infected with the coronavirus disease while working for the virtual court as of Tuesday, said Md Saifur Rahman, special officer of Bangladesh Supreme Court.
Different lower courts in virtual hearings across the country granted bail to 39,202 people in 25 working days from May 11 to June 18.
The courts also settled 73,116 bail petitions during the period of time under review.
Apart from this, 536 children secured bail through different virtual courts across the country in the last 25 working days.
Of the children, 471 were handed over to their guardians.
