The number of truck registration in the country stood at 2,229 in the first six months of the current calendar year, according to an official data.
Of the total, 1,589 trucks were registered in Dhaka during the period from January and June, 2020, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) statistics.
A total of 8,326 trucks were registered in 2019, while 12,663 were registered in 2018, the transport regulator data showed.
