A total of 21 Supreme Court judges and 231 lower court judges were so far infected with Covid-19.
Apart from this, 458 staff of subordinate courts and 200 employees of the Supreme Court were infected with the coronavirus, Md Saifur Rahman, special officer of Bangladesh Supreme Court (SC) told The Financial Express on Sunday.
They were infected with the coronavirus while working for the virtual court, he stated.
One district judge and six staff of the courts died during the pandemic, he said.
A good number of lawyers were infected with the coronavirus while many of them died during the Covid-19 crisis, the SC special officer added.
