The government will give awards to 19 industrial organisations and entrepreneurs, under six categories, for their contributions to the industrial development of the country.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun will distribute the ‘Presidential Industrial Development Award 2018’ on Monday among the winners at a ceremony at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel.
State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, industries secretary K M Ali Ajam and President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Sheikh Fazle Fahima will be present as the special guests.
Of the awards, four will be given in heavy industrial category while four in medium industrial category, three in small category, three in micro industrial category, three in cottage industry category and two in high-tech industrial category.
