A total of 156 coronavirus patients, including 95 district health department staff, have recovered in Kishoreganj until Sunday.
Civil Surgeon Dr Md Mujibur Rahman came up with the information from a views-exchange meeting at the office of deputy commissioner at noon, reports UNB.
So far, 191 people tested positive in the district. Among them, there were 104 patients of Health Department including 48 physicians, 14 nursing staff and 42 health workers.
Now, five physicians and four health workers are undergoing treatment and their condition is also improving, said the civil surgeon.
Besides, assistant commissioner (land) of two upazilas, who were diagnosed with coronavirus, made recovery.
Meanwhile, 10 policemen also recovered.
Five people have so far died from coronavirus in the district. There are currently 30 coronavirus patients in Kishoreganj.
Coronavirus cases in Bangladesh surged to 14,657 on Sunday after the health authorities announced the detection of 887 new patients in the last 24 hours.
Besides, 14 more deaths were reported during the period, taking the death toll in the country to 228.
