14 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Narsingdi and Cumilla districts in the past 24 hours as of Saturday as the pandemic continues to spread in Bangladesh.
According to UNB, twelve more people tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours taking the total number to 104 in the district.
Confirming the information, Imrul Kayes, additional deputy commissioner and chief of Narsingdi Coronavirus Prevention Emergency Cell, said doctors, engineers, project officers, health directorate officials, journalists and children were infected in the district.
The news agency also reported that two people, including a female pharmacist of Daudkandi Upazila Health Complex, were diagnosed with coronavirus on Saturday in Narsingdi.
Health officials said the other patient is from Meghna upazila.
According to the Civil Surgeon’s Office, 32 people have tested positive for the virus as of Saturday afternoon in the district.
