As many as 13 people were lynched across the country in the first two months of this calendar year, according to a report by an independent rights body.
The highest number of incidents of killings took place in Dhaka while the lowest number of killings by mob occurred in Khulna and Rajshahi, revealed data by Ain o Salish Kendra.
Seven people were murdered in Dhaka division by mob. In Mymensingh and Khulna, the number was one.
Moreover, 37 people were lynched in 2018 and 50 in 2017.
