At least 10 people have died after a bus and a truck collided in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah district.
The accident at the Upazila's Barobazar on Jashore-Jhenaidah Road on Wednesday afternoon left at least 20 others injured, reports bdnews24.com.
The victims could not be identified immediately.
The authorities said nine of the victims died instantly while the injured, including eight in “critical” condition, were taken to hospitals in Kaliganj and Jashore. One of them died while undergoing treatment.
Citing witnesses, Highway Police Station OC Sheikh Mesbah Uddin said the Magura-bound JK Paribahan bus turned on its side after being hit by the truck head-on near Amzad Filling Station.
