Vacancy Type: Data Analyst (Short-term Consultants)
Responsibilities:
- Develop a strategy to extract the data in its various forms (pdf, excel, etc.) and produce digitized files for each factory.
- Then work with the research team to harmonize these disparate data into one large data set containing variables that are defined in a consistent manner across factories.
- Extract data using a variety of tools and merge those data into a rigid format for analysis. To do this, a deep understanding of what the data representation is critical.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields with a track record of programming skills. Prior experience with unstructured data extraction, wrangling, cleaning and harmonization will be preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience using Python to extract data and transform using a jupyter notebook and libraries like Pandas and NumPy is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and understanding of production processes in ready-made garment factories is desirable.
