Homeopathic physicians at a discussion in Rangpur have said Dr Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann would be remembered ceaselessly for inventing the homeopathy treatment system (HTS) to serve humanity.

They viewed this at the post-rally discussion jointly organised by Rangpur Homeopathic Medical College (RHMC) and Rangpur City Homeopathic Samity at Town Hall on Tuesday afternoon.

The rally and discussion were arranged in observance of the Hahnemann Day and Homeopathic Day- 2018 marking the 263rd birthday of Dr Heinemann.

Mayor of Rangpur Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa attended the discussion as the chief guest with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rabiul Islam in the chair.

Rangpur divisional member of Bangladesh Homeopathic Board Dr Ashik Kumar Roy, president of Rangpur Rotary Club Afzalul Haque, principal of RHMC Dr Syeda Shahana Sultana Mala and its former Principal Dr Aminul Islam Khan addressed as special guests.

Terming Dr Hahnemann one of the greatest scientists in medical sciences, the speakers said he invented the HTS through examining it in his own body to serve the suffering humanity by providing them with the alternate, effective and side effect-free treatments.

Dr Aminul Islam Khan said, "The homeopathic physicians are providing medical treatments to millions of people, especially the poor, throughout the country both in the rural and urban areas to build a healthier nation."

Dr Syeda Shahana Sultana Mala urged the government to promote the homeopathic drug industry, include homeopathic treatment more effectively in the national drug policy and appoint homeopathic physicians to the upazila health complexes, reports BSS.

The chief guest asked the homeopathic physicians for serving the suffering humanity to reach health services at doorsteps of the people following ideals of the father of HTS Dr Hahnemann, who scarified his whole life in serving humanity.
