Community clinics to remain open on August 9-17

Despite being public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the country’s all community clinics will remain open in rural areas from August 9 (Friday) to 17 except Eid day, aiming to provide healthcare facilities to holidaymakers and dengue patients.

The government has decided to keep all the community clinics open from August 9 to 17 except Eid day to provide healthcare facilities to the people who are going home on the occasion of Eid and dengue patients, a handout said, reports BSS.

Besides, city corporations and municipalities will continue cleanliness drives.

The Cabinet Division has already asked all the ministries, departments and divisions to strengthen their monitoring on anti-dengue drives and cleanliness programmes so that water cannot be stagnant in offices and surroundings during the Eid holidays.

The Education Ministry has already directed the authorities of all the educational institutions to continue cleanliness programmes by keeping its offices open aiming to prevent dengue outbreak.

Meanwhile, the leave of the officials of Directorate General of Health Services and city corporations have been cancelled to address the dengue prevalence.
