Time travel is an intriguing concept since the inception of the Theory of Relativity. Almost every person who knows about time travel has a curiosity for knowing the future or changing the past.

The Adam Project, the latest Netflix sci-fi adventure film, explores the time travel concept and the control over it with elements of comedy.
Adam Reed, the main protagonist, is the person we will see on both in his child and adult form. The adult Adam hails from 2050, where the world is a dystopian one under the rule of Maya Sorian, who has absolute control over time travel.
Adam steals a time-travelling jet suspecting the death of his wife Laura while travelling to the past was a hoax, unwillingly jumps to 2022 and meets his younger self.
The younger Adam is quite different from the former one. Just a year and a half after losing his father Louis Reed, he is still struggling to cope with the loss.
Turns out, the adult Adam hated being his younger self and alienated himself to grow a pretty different personality. They teamed up together to fight against Sorian to destroy time travelling in the past once and for all.
Maya Sorian, the family friend of the Reed family, helped Louis on his time travel research. But after inventing time travel and the death of Louis, she took the control of time travel for herself and even went to an extent to persuade her past self to gain more power for her future self, making her a perfect villain.
Though The Adam Project is about science fiction, it delves into relationships too. The adult Adam helps his younger self to cope with his grief in many ways, and comedic interaction between them makes them an entertaining duo.
Their father, who invented the concept of time travel, never gave time to his family since Adam was born. But interaction with both Adam by time travel makes him realise the necessity of being a good father and saving the world by the unwanted dark side of his research.
Ryan Reynolds plays an important role as the adult Adam. Though he still has the sense of humour of Deadpool, he nerfs it down here to play the bigger role. The cast for this Netflix film includes Mark Ruffalo and Zoe Saldana too.
A sci-fi film with a portrayal of a heart-touching father-son relationship, The Adam Project is an amazing movie to watch with family.
