Saudi Prince open for Hollywood business

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman is coming to Hollywood in early April for meetings with prominent power brokers, bookended by stops in New York and Silicon Valley.

The goal is investment and economic development in his Kingdom and around the world.

The Prince is now considered the top advisor to King Salman in Saudi Arabia, thanks to his role in the corruption probe that ensnared many  top government and business figures in that country last year.

Prince bin Salman heads the Saudi anti-corruption committee, according to a web site report.

His power evidently consolidated, the New York Post is now reporting that bin Salman – known as MBS – is planning to meet with top entertainment and technology executives in New York, Hollywood and Silicon Valley over the next week.

His schedule includes stops in New York on Monday, then heading to Seattle on March 30 for a Bill Gates meeting.

From there, it’s on to Hollywood, where William Morris co-CEO Ari Emanuel and producer Brian Grazer are hosting a dinner for him. The Prince recently bought a $400 million stake in Emanuel’s WME to develop sports and entertainment in the kingdom.

The Prince will cap his tour in Silicon Valley, where meetings are reportedly set with Apple and Google.
