New patriotic song ‘1971-Bijoypur’ to be launched on Victory Day

A new patriotic song titled ‘1971-Bijoypur’ of the US-based Bangla Band GAP-ATX and S&R is set to be released jointly on Thursday (December 16), the victory day of Bangladesh.   

The song is being produced by the Art Lab Media Productions. The Art Lab Media Productions owned by Razib Hasan Russell, a Bangladeshi-born US expatriate, is releasing the song on the YouTube channel marking the Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence. 

The lyrics written and tuned by Abdullah Al Amin, refers to various historical events and personalities of Bangladesh’s rock music flourished during 1970-71 and elaborated how Bangladesh fought for freedom. 

The lyrics were weaved carefully through the passionate tune and music arrangements and paid subtle tributes to the 70s rock signature personalities, says a media release. 

Anger, sadness, pain, and death - emanating from all these negative emotions - Rock, a unique branch of music was born in 1971, said the release. 

How could one know how much power and positivity are hidden in the stings of roaring guitars, in the thunders of the drums, in the depth of the bass guitar, and in the vocal's heart-wrenching passionate appeals through the magical lyrics, it said.
