Hawkeye - A superhero with no superpower

Hawkeye - A superhero with no superpower

Hawkeye mini-series marks 2021 ending for the MCU franchise on a festive note. After the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ bang, Hawkeye ends the year without a portrayal of superpowered superheroes but depicts a superhero who doesn’t have any superpowers but only sheer skills, Clint Barton.

Clint aka Hawkeye is always seen as a superhero teaming up with the Avengers. Man with no powers but only powerful archery and combat skills, he distinguishes himself as no less than the other avengers.

After acting under the shadow of the Avengers, he finally gets his own show where he wanders in New York City to investigate a crime ring called the Tracksuit Mafia.

Hawkeye presents us with young avengers like Kate Bishop (played by Hailee Steinfield), which is a distinctive feature of phase four.

Kate Bishop is an emerging young hero who looks up to Clint as her role model and aspires to become the next Hawkeye, whom Clint reluctantly takes in as his Protégé.

In this show, Clint meets a number of enemies, including enemies from his past self as Ronin and a misjudging Yelena Belova, who seeks answers behind the death of her adoptive sister Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow.

The season finale also includes the entry of Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin who is also an arch-nemesis of Daredevil.

Maya Lopez, who is one of the enemies of Clint's Ronin self, is getting her own spin-off show as Echo which is under production.

Jeremy Renner is always phenomenal in his role as Hawkeye/Clint Barton. Vincent D'Onofrio's entrance as the Kingpin adds to the joy of Daredevil fans.

The portrayal of Kate Bishop as the new Hawkeye in this series marks the beginning of Young Avengers.

On a whole, superheroes solving crimes with detective work marks as a breath of fresh air after a year of flashy fights between heroes and villains in MCU, which is a must-watch during this Christmas.
