First trailer of Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' is out

The much anticipated Christopher Nolan directorial Oppenheimer's trailer has been released today. The two-minute trailer has created a massive social media buzz already.

Each time the British-American filmmaker announces a film, fans start counting the days until the film's release, being almost certain that they will be presented with something unprecedented. The master filmmaker has once again returned with his realistic visual mastery and serious filmmaking style, with Oppenheimer - telling the story of making an atomic bomb.

Already one of the most anticipated films of 2023, Oppenheimer is eagerly awaited for another reason: Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. will be seen together on the big screen for the first time.

The American physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer is known as the father of the atomic bomb, who developed this weapon just before the end of the second World War. It effectively put an end to the war after being dropped in Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, for the first time.

The film is based on the novel written by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, 'American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer,' which won the Pulitzer in 2006.

Apart from Murphy and Jr., Oppenheimer stars heavyweights like Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Matt Damon, and Rami Malek.

Photos released from the film's set have increased curiosity as Nolan, like always, has prioritised realistic visuals over Computer Graphics Imagery (CGI) and shot an atomic bomb test scene with a real blast.
The film is slated to release worldwide on July 21, 2023.
