BSA opens month-long cultural festival in 64 districts

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) launched a month long cultural festival in 64 districts across the country.

Titled ‘City of Art’, the festival aims to introduce people with the country’s rich culture.

“The festival began on November 1 highlighting the cultural heritage of each district to the common people with the help of the Ministry of Culture,” Shilpakala academy’s Charukola (fine arts) division lecturer artist Sujan Mahbub briefed media on Sunday.

He said local and BSA artists are performing at different functions arranged for cultural festival.

The performers participated in various events including songs, plays and circus at the eighteen places of the six districts in the last three days.

The festival is being held today in the districts of Pirojpur, Moulvibazar, Barishal and Tangail, reports BSS.

Artists will also take part in different events in Jhalokathi, Pabna and Chapainawabganj on Monday.

The cultural festival will continue till November 30.
