Aupee Karim to star opposite India’s Ritwick in Indo-Bangladesh venture film

Aupee Karim has been paired opposite Indian actor Ritwick Chakraborty in a film adapted from two stories of Manik Banbandyopadhyay. The film, ‘Mayar Jonjal’, an Indo-Bangladesh venture, will be directed by India’s Indranil Roychowdhury.

She will play the lead of one of the stories opposite Ritwick. The second story sees actor Sohel Rana and Indian actress Chandreyee Ghosh in the lead. India’s Paran Bandyopadhyay and Bratya Basu are also playing key roles in ‘Mayar Jonjal’.

In the first story of the film, Times of India reports, Ritwick will be seen as an ATM security guard named Chandu who had to take this job after his factory was locked down. Chandu’s wife Soma also manages to find a respectable job in a housing complex but soon she starts to spend night there. Chandu realises that if he does not leave this ATM job, Soma will be gone forever.

In the second story, Chandreyee plays a prostitute named Beauty who is a victim of woman trafficking. Sohel plays an average young man named Satya who has his own troubles in life but soon he falls for Beauty. What happens next forms the crux of the film.
