Aamir Khan reacts with sorrow to Rohingya persecution in Myanmar

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has reacted with sorrow in response to a question on the persecution of Rohingyas in Myanmar.

He made the reaction at a news conference in Istanbul on Wednesday dated October 04, 2017, reports Turkey-run Anadolu Agency.

Expressing sadness for the Rohinga situation, Khan said, “I think what is happening in Myanmar is very heartbreaking.

“Anywhere in the world when people suffer, anywhere in the world when people go through this kind of tragic experiences it is really heartbreaking and it happens all over the world at different times.”

The 52-year-old Indian superstar concluded saying, "I can only hope and pray that as human beings we can somehow get over this.”

Since August 25, more than 0.5 million people have crossed over to Bangladesh, fleeing the persecution in the western state of Rakhine, Myanmar.
