UODA's media studies dept holds alumni reunion

Prof Mujib Khan, founder and president of UODA, addresses alumni reunion of Communication and Media Studies department of UODA recently.

The Communication and Media Studies department of University of Development Alternative (UODA) held a get together programme recently for its former students.

Festivity was in the air as hundreds of former students met their friends after a long time and took photographs during the daylong programme.

The day-long programme was held on Friday at UODA campus in Dhanmondi of Dhaka, says a press release.

After the inaugural session, the former students took part in a reminiscence session. They also attended a survey as part of university's ongoing self assessment process.

Prof Mujib Khan, founder and president of UODA, joined the programme as chief guest.

He urged the former students to stay connected with their university, where a lot of old memories remain very fresh for them.

Later, Mujib Khan formally announced two committees for establishing alumni association and media club in the department.

UODA Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rafiqul Islam Sharif, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Ahmedullah Miah, Registrar Prof Dr Iffat Chowdhury, were also present at the programme.

Head of Communication and Media Studies department M Mahbub Alam presided over the programme.
